Mealtime is sunny with Chewtensils in Tangerine! We designed Chewtensils for Stage 1 of baby-led weaning – introducing babies to the concept of holding a utensil and feeding themselves. Both the spoon and fork are made from soft, textured, 100% food-safe platinum silicone that’s easy to grip and gentle on tender gums, with bendable heads for safety. The back of the spoon head has sensory bumps to stimulate gums. They’re perfect for dipping into puréed foods at the early part of baby-led weaning. Chewtensils are safe and can even be chewed on by younger babies before they’re ready to transition to silverware.

Chewtensils are intended for babies before they have a firm grasp on self-feeding (best for dipping and scooping, not yet spearing solid foods).

Do not leave child unattended with Chewtensils. Discard if damaged or torn.

Natalie ★★★★★

My 6-month-old actually gets the spoon to her mouth now instead of just gnawing the handle, which is exactly what I wanted for starting solids. The tangerine color is bright and easy to spot when it inevitably ends up on the floor.

Emily ★★★★★

The silicone is soft enough that my daughter gnaws on the spoon end between bites instead of fussing. Since it's Stage 1, the short handle actually fits her fist, so she's getting the hang of scooping without me guiding her hand. Tangerine color makes it easy to spot when it lands on the floor.

My 6-month-old actually figured out how to hold these on her own within a week, which surprised me since she'd just been grabbing at the spoon before. The silicone is soft enough that it doesn't bother her gums when she chews on the handle between bites.
