Our Chewtensils are intended for Stage 1 of baby-led weaning - the earliest stage. Introduce your baby to the concept of holding a utensil and self feeding. The spoon and fork are perfect for dipping into puréed foods. We made them from soft, textured, 100% food-safe silicone that’s easy to grip and gentle on tender gums, with bendable heads for safety. The back of the spoon head has sensory bumps to stimulate gums.  Chewtensils can be chewed on by younger babies before they’re ready to transition to silverware.

Chewtensils are intended for babies before they have a firm grasp on self-feeding (best for dipping and scooping, not yet spearing solid foods).

The tiny fork prongs are perfectly rounded for my 6-month-old’s gums, and the sage color is muted enough that it doesn’t clash with our high chair. She grips the chunky handle without me hovering, which makes mealtimes feel way less stressful.

My little one finally figured out how to grip the chunky handle during our first meal, and the soft silicone tips are gentle enough that she can gum the spoon without any worry. It's such a relief to have utensils that actually work for stage one instead of just being decorative.

The sage color is so calming and the silicone is soft enough that my baby can chew on the handle without gumming it up. It’s been perfect for those first messy attempts at self-feeding, and the fork prongs are just the right bluntness for tiny hands to poke at soft food without any risk.
