Our Chewtensils are intended for Stage 1 of baby-led weaning – introducing babies to the concept of holding a utensil and feeding themselves. Made from soft, textured, 100% food-safe silicone that’s easy to grip and gentle on tender gums, with bendable heads for safety. The back of the spoon head has sensory bumps to stimulate gums. They’re perfect for dipping into puréed foods at the early part of baby led weaning. Chewtensils can be chewed on by younger babies before they’re ready to transition to silverware.

Chewtensils are intended for babies before they have a firm grasp on self-feeding (best for dipping and scooping, not yet spearing solid foods).

My 7-month-old actually grabs these instead of throwing them, which is a small miracle. The silicone is soft enough that she can gnaw on the handles while I load the spoon end with puree.

The textured silicone gives my 8-month-old something to gnaw on while she figures out how to hold a spoon, which keeps her busy way longer than I expected. They're soft enough that she doesn't gag herself, and cleanup is just a quick rinse.

My 6-month-old finally stopped flinging spoons across the kitchen once I handed her one of these. The textured grip is easy for her little fist to hold, and it doubles as a teether when she's done pretending to eat.
