Quick answer
Either Bumkins Starter Bib 2 Pack works well for babies 3-9 months starting solids. Choose Ocean Life & Whale Tail for a calm, gender-neutral palette or Dinosaurs & Blue Tropic for playful, bold prints.
Pattern personality matters more than function
Both 2-packs share the same practical features: hook-and-loop shoulder closure, large catch-all pocket, and waterproof, easy-wipe fabric. Your choice comes down to which pattern you and your baby enjoy seeing at mealtime. The Ocean Life set offers soft blues and greens that blend into most nursery themes, while the Dinosaurs set brings bright, energetic colors that stand out.
Price and value are nearly identical
The Dinosaurs & Blue Tropic 2-pack costs about 50 cents more than the Ocean Life & Whale Tail set. Both deliver the same durable, odor-resistant construction. If budget is tight, the Ocean Life pack saves a small amount without sacrificing quality.
How to decide between the two patterns
